Failure to Scale: What do you need to Cross the Ecommerce Chasm in 2024?

In this inspirational talk, Dr. John McSloy (INDEZ) delves into the critical factors for scaling Ecommerce businesses in the rapidly evolving digital landscape of 2024.

The session will explore the common pitfalls that hinder growth, offering a detailed analysis of why some businesses fail to scale and explore innovative strategies for overcoming these challenges e.g.

• The importance of a Tech Stack that's correct for your business
• Eliminating technical debt (which restricts growth & automation)
• Automation of Business Process
• The importance of upskilling your team, using SOP's & embracing A.I. to maximise productivity
• How to "strategically" use agencies to complement your in-house teams
• Advanced analytics & customer behaviour insights
• When to Diversify Product Offerings
• Focussing on the correct marketing channels, strategies & tactics at different phases of growth
• Streamlined fulfilment, inventory forecasting & supply chain management
• Profit optimisation to drive growth while minimising costs

Additionally, we discuss why an "experienced" Ecommerce Manager is (arguably) the most important factor when scaling your business, plus the importance of fostering a culture of agility and resilience, which are essential for navigating the highly competitive and ever-changing Ecommerce environment.

The talk will conclude with actionable insights and best practices, empowering attendees with the knowledge to successfully bridge the Ecommerce chasm and achieve sustainable growth in 2024.

This is followed by a discussion panel on "Mastering the Art of Ecommerce Scaling".
